here IT is ...

Why do we blog? ... I guess I have the same question as quarterlife star Dylan. Dylan asks the question in the first episode of the new made for the internet show that debuted on Nov 11th.

What caught my interest was that no sooner did quarterlife debut on MySpace TV it was snapped up by NBC Universal. Wow a pretty bold move ... and one that shows NBC is certainly getting more serious about spreading it wings into broadband video. What make the move even more interesting is that it comes smack dab in the middle of the Writer Guild strike and on top of that NBC just announced that they fired 90% of the SNL staff. I guess there's no better way to learn how to swim then to jump in the deep end, but quarterlife for SNL, damn. We'll see if the hedging continues after the strike is worked out ... which i expect and hope it will. Although I'd much rather see NBC utilizing existing broadband video channels like YouTube and iTunes for existing content, then buying the rights to made for internet shows, but at least we're making one step in the right direction ... baby steps.

Anyway ... I'm straying from my original question about why we blog. I guess it's to become more knowledgeable and self expressive about the things we are passionate about. It's also great way learn more about ourselves and share knowledge on the things like to do. So here it is, my first blog post ... more to come about what I'm passionate about!!
